Player Levels & Evaluations

JGFA encourages parents to register their child at the appropriate age level. However, if you feel your child is ready to compete at a higher level, you may register her for evaluations at both her current level and the higher level.

Please note:

  • Registering for a higher level does not guarantee placement.

  • All players will be evaluated and placed accordingly.

Player Evaluations – Sunday, March 8

Location: The CERC

Evaluation Schedule

  • 8U: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM

  • 10U: 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM

    • Pitchers & Catchers: 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM

  • 12U: 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM

    • Pitchers & Catchers: 1:15 PM – 1:30 PM

Evaluation Format

  • 8U evaluations will be conducted by the JGFA Board.

  • 10U and 12U evaluations will be conducted by Flexx evaluators.

If you miss the 10U or 12U evaluation, a $20 makeup fee will apply. Makeup dates will be provided upon request by emailing jordangirlsfastpitch@gmail.com.

Full payment is required at the time of registration for a player to be eligible for evaluations and team placement.
Failure to submit full payment may result in the player not being placed on a team.

If interested in 14U level of play please email the board at Jordangirlsfastptich@gmail.com. We are looking at options within JGFA and other opportunities to field a team. 

Player Evaluations & Team Placement

  • Players are evaluated by independent evaluators in collaboration with the JGFA Board.

  • Team placement is based on age, skill level, and level of play to create balanced, competitive teams.

  • Once evaluations are complete and teams are formed, rosters are considered final.

Refund Policy

  • Registration fees are non-refundable once teams have been formed.

  • Refunds will be considered only for documented medical reasons.

  • All medical refund requests must be submitted in writing to the JGFA Board and may require documentation.

Jerseys

Jerseys may be purchased through Valley Sports in Shakopee. We will be using the same jerseys as last season. Per JGFA policy next season we are due for a jersey refresh and will be evaluating that as a board if this is something we want to do for the 2027 seasons. 

  • New players should connect with us at evaluations to try on samples and select a jersey number. This will be done in the upstairs lobby of the CERC. 

  • Jersey costs are not included in registration and will be an additional expense for families.

JGFA is exploring additional investments in pitching, catching and batting lessons for girls throughout the program.
